VH1 has compiled its list of the "100 Greatest Hip Hop Songs" and Public Enemy "Fight the Power" tops the list (coincidentally the same network that revived Flavor Flav’s career...) well not the greatest song for me, (and this is more a Rap List not hip hop) anyways genre is too deep and diversified to create a list so...
The rest of the top five are:

#3 Dr. Dre & Snoop: “Nuthin but a ‘G’ Thang”
#4 Run-D.M.C. (with Aerosmith): “Walk This Way”
#5 Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five: “The Message”
