Aaliyah... Queen of R&B

Hi Bloggers just wanted to share some info 'bout Aaliyah cause I've always loved her music and I still do.Who doesn't miss her singings?

Aaliyah was born in Brooklyn ,NY but she grew up in Detroit,Michigan,was a young prodigy, introduced to the audiences by R.Kelly in the 90's.She signed with her first record label when she was only 14yrs old and her debut album 'Age Ain't Nothing But A Number' went platinum for singles "Back & Forth" and "At Your Best".

Her follow up albums 'One In A Million' and 'Aaliyah' were also big hits.Same as the ones after her death 'I Care 4 U' and 'Ultimated Aaliyah'(including a dvd with her story).

She was the first and youngest african-american woman to ever perform at The Oscar.She also was the face for Tommy Hilfiger in 96-97.

She also dabbled in acting in "Queen Of The Damned" and in the action flick "Romeo Must Die" where she had 4 songs for the soundtrack "Are You Feeling Me", the smooth "I Dont Wanna" ,"Back In One Piece feat:DMX" and the number one hit "Try Again".

Aaliyah and R.Kelly got married when she was only 15, the couple had listed Aaliyah's 18 on the marriage license ( esto ya es otro tema since we all know R.Kelly's innappropriate behavior with several minors.LOL) anyways they had it annulled.

Sadly Aaliyah's life was cut much short in August 25 ,2001 when she and 8 other passengers boarded a plane that crashed seconds after taking off from the Bahamas exploting on impact.

Investigation showed that the plane had been loaded far past its weigh capacity and the pilot had been arrested for crack cocaine possession days before the tragedy and alcohol were found in his sistem.

The world lost a talented young singer that day (she was 22).

She will always be remembered as a natural performer,actress,dancer & model. R.I.P
